Feline behaviour, advice & tips
This chapter contains problem behaviour advice, help, hints, tips & feline fun.
Praise & reward cats for behaving correctly & never Scold them, a gentle, patient approach is vital.
They are never at fault - as their keepers it is up to us to think & encourage them to behave appropriately. We have brought them into our world & it is our failing if they don't understand what we expect of them. Try to imagine the world from their point of view.
Cats thrive on routine. If they know what to expect from the day, they will behave accordingly around it.
If your cat is showing a sudden behaviour change it is advised that they see a vet, there are many medical reasons that need to be ruled out. Check that your cats food is a nutritionally appropriate. If their system is not receiving the necessary nutrition, their actions can portray it.
Have you ever been grumpy because of low blood sugar? (having not had enough to eat)
