Blankets, toys & promotion
The cats & kittens that spend day after day in pens and enclosures waiting for new homes can become anxious & fed up.
Comfortable bedding & something to play with can make a huge difference to cooped up animals. Bedding, toys and blankets need continual cleaning, this can take its toll on the materials. As well as this, many of the cats & kittens become quite attached to their bedding or toys. To help ease them into their new homes they often take their familiar things & or comfort blankets with them.
More of the very kindly knitted bedding, blankets or toys, are always needed & appreciated by the cats at Romney House
Anyone can make woolen cat toys, all you need is some wool, some thick twine, a pair of scissors and a large needle & or some cardboard.
We can also sell these in our shop if we had enough of them, this would help us to raise desperately needed funds.
The woolly cat toys enjoyed by adults & kittens alike, are surprisingly simple to make.

Why wool?
Wool is a natural material that cats often respond well to. Sometimes the smell of synthetic material can deter a sensitive nose or a nervous disposition. The smell of clean wool often seems to have a comforting effect.
Towels
Old, clean towels make very good bedding for the cats. If you have any old towels you no longer want, please consider sending them in to Romney House
Promotion
Please promote our website & re-homing center by printing & raising the below poster, & through word of mouth or by e-mail. Please help us to find good new families & support for all these homeless cats
