.. 4, 5 months & onwards

Baby Molly is four months old & loves watching her cats wander past or whilst sitting on a lap. She chirps with joy when she catches sight of them & gurgles happily. Bunsen has taken to sleeping on the babies things when she gets a chance, but is usually disturbed & moves away. None have come close to sleeping on the baby & that event is even less likely now she is gaining strength, kicking & wriggling much more.
Baby has remained perfectly healthy.
Bunsen is keen on the baby & will happily sit on the same lap as her (even if this is a little awkward).
Beaker pays no attention, but is quite happy to brush past.
Morris doesn't pay any notice still.
If Baby tears begin to fall, the noise doesn't seem to bother any of the cats. Bunsen may move from her spot immediately next to the noise, but often she doesn't bother.

Everyone is perfectly happy in the house. Molly is delighted when the cats enter her vision, they are uninterested unless they get close enough for her to grab at them. She has managed to grab a handful of fur a couple of times, but Bunsen was completely unconcerned as Molly hasn't got the grip to cause her any real discomfort.
Beaker is slightly more temperamental & could have the potential to give her a whack if she grabbed him & didn't let go (we doubt he would, but it's best not to take the chance), so we simply redirect him if he gets too close & encourage him elsewhere. He doesn't need much persuasion, but there are of course cushions handy, if we did want to present a barrier - to subtly & gently herd him in another direction (we could of course always move Molly).
We would make sure that he wasn't put out if we did need to herd him away, so he wouldn't associate any negativity with the baby.
Morris as ever, doesn't care if he is grabbed.
As Mollies grip will only strengthen, we will passively prevent the opportunity for fur grabbing (she obviously can't reach very far anyway).
