Happy Endings & Cat Tales
Upset cats can spend weeks undergoing close & personal socialisation at Romney House, creating a bond between cat & keeper. We are delighted when they move on to lead a normal life in a loving home, but we do worry about them. We assume that 'no news is good news' but are always delighted to hear from a new owner.

This little kitten came in with her mum and aunt. Owners baby allergic . Adorable and friendly! Well socialised and full of the joys of kittenhood. Mum and Aunt have gone home.

We adopted Smudge from you– a very large black and white cat – about 2-3 years ago. When we saw him you told us that he was just “ a big silly boy”, and thats exactly what he is.
He was frightened at first and hid for about three weeks in our wardrobes and cupboards. He secretly came out for food when we were not looking.
Gradually he built up confidence. He is a gorgeous cat and has taken a liking to my husband! They have to cuddle up every night and then Smudge settles down on one of the beds for the night. He was originally a house cat, but gradually we have introduced him to our garden. He stands by the back door and we all go for a walk down the garden to check out the estate. Once thats done hes back in. He has never attempted to jump the fence and seems contented to just have a wander.

very large handsome Smudge is 8 years old and only ever been an indoor cat. His owner has become too ill to look after him. Very gentle cat.
