Mog's adventure

26/03/10

Last July, Darling Mogs came in as a stray having been looked after by a lovely lady, who was unable to carry on feeding him because she was moving away. Mogs was a very frightened, growly cat who took a long time to settle. After a while we developed a very loving bond & he relaxed & would purr & knead all of the time. He had a very strange short tail, obviously taken off somehow. There was some interest in him but I was reluctant to let him go. I finally decided it was not fair & he needed his own home. He went with what I thought was a very responsible family. They took him & Tigger our wandering cat. Within the first 2 days they not only lost Tigger, but also my lovely Mogs! We found Tigger a few days later, but despite all the posters, leaflets, knocking on doors, there was no sign of Mogs. I tried not give up hope especially as I knew he was micro chipped. So much time passed & this winter I thought of him a lot & wondered how he was coping with the awful weather. Hope began to fade that he would ever be found, until last week! A vet in Burnt Ash Rise phoned me & informed me that a ginger & white cat had been found with one of my microchips. I could not think who it was, until they mentioned his short tail. I nearly crashed my car! & immediately raced to pick him up. Mogs did not forgot me & I give him so many kisses & cuddles every day. I don't think I can ever home him again & he is now likely to become another long term resident of Romney House!
