Sponsor a special cat
Meet some of the permanent residents who really need your support.
If there isn't enough room in your life but you would still like to adopt or rescue a cat for yourself or as a gift for someone, let us know by completing a sponsorship form & Standing Order form (if applicable). We will send you a certificate, a photograph & reminder of how you have helped to save & improve their lives. We will always consider offers of homes for these very special cats, but otherwise they are free to live indefinately around the grounds of Romney House.
Sponsorship - A feel good gift that benefits more than just one personality - take a look
Gordon
Poor Gordon went to great lengths to find sanctuary as he travelled all the way from the Isle of Wight! He was knocked down by a car in a country lane - & then about 5 others hit him as he lay injured in the road. Fortunately someone picked him up & the vets managed to stitch him back together! His injuries meant his bladder did not function for some time so it had to be emptied manually - needless to say he was 'wild' through fear & pain. Thankfully after receiving Silvana's tender love & care, all he is left with now is a hare lip & a wonky tail. These days Gordon is free roaming. In safety he enjoys the comfort, company & care that he shares with the other cats, living around the grounds of Romney House .

Moppet is our oldest guest. At 23 she is as fit as a fiddle, spending her days sleeping in the sunshine! She is always around especially when dinner is served! She loves her food and comes to call me if meals are delayed! Long Live Moppet.
Joe
Joe is a very loving mature, gorgeous old gentleman. His owner died & he misses her very much. He gets special treatment here in his retirement home, where he receives warmth & affection & has nothing to worry about.
Gregory
Gregory was part of a very big feral colony. An elderly couple had been feeding some of them. Few of the cats were neutered & their numbers increased rapidly! Traps went down on a daily basis & they all eventually arrived at Romney House for socialising. Some became friendly enough to home, but Gregory prefers to live here in the open with the other ferals. He is a true free range cat who is always a welcome sight. He has warm cat houses to chose from, he can graze on cat biscuits whenever he likes & can socialise with us if he wants to.
