Please sponsor a special cat
Meet some of the permanent residents who really need your support.
If there isn't enough room in your life but you would still like to adopt or rescue a cat for yourself or as a gift for someone, let us know by completing a sponsorship form & Standing Order form if applicable (sponsor a Mog - minimum £10). We will send you a certificate, a photograph & reminder of how you have helped to save & improve their lives. We will always consider offers of homes for these very special cats, but otherwise they are free to live indefinately around the grounds of Romney House.
Sponsorship - A feel good gift that benefits more than just one personality - take a look
Joe
Joe is a very loving mature, gorgeous old gentleman. His owner died & he misses her very much. He gets special treatment here in his retirement home, where he receives warmth & affection & has nothing to worry about.
Gregory
Gregory was part of a very big feral colony. An elderly couple had been feeding some of them. Few of the cats were neutered & their numbers increased rapidly! Traps went down on a daily basis & they all eventually arrived at Romney House for socialising. Some became friendly enough to home, but Gregory prefers to live here in the open with the other ferals. He is a true free range cat who is always a welcome sight. He has warm cat houses to chose from, he can graze on cat biscuits whenever he likes & can socialise with us if he wants to.

Squiggle
This is little squiggle a very active confident kitten. Unfortunately when she was born, the umbilical cord was tightly wrapped around her paw. It stopped the circulation of blood to her little paw & it is not known if it was bitten off accidentally by her mother or it just fell off!
She will need to have more of the leg removed when she is older, probably when she is going to be neutered. She needs a loving & secure place to live where she cannot get out & come to harm...she has found it here!! oh well..one more!
She is so cheeky & you would never tell she has a disability, she just keeps going & going.....ADORABLE.
Squiggly has been having a real bad time with her little half leg. Because she is growing, her little bone started to grow through the skin & cause her so much pain. being such an active thing, she kept hitting it when she played & screamed the place down.
We had to make the decision to have an op to remove more of the leg, plus she was old enough to be neutered.
Consequently she lost all her balance! She spent 3 days after the op trying to stay balanced & on her feet but instead she went in circles & kept falling. it was making her so very angry as she could not get it right. She was so distressed & wanted lots of cuddles, something she usually does not have the time for.
She finally began work it out & started to run around again in the garden. Not for long though as she gets so worn, out poor love!
