"I managed to get out to Alghero, Italy, to do some neutering. I had had serious concerns about a colony outside a 5 star hotel in Alghero. I knew that when the tourism season approached, the cats would begin to mysteriously disappear! In only 2 days I managed to trap and catch 13 females and take them to the vets for spaying. All of them were in season, so this saved the lives of many forlorn kittens who would have been born - and died awful deaths - having only known suffering. The females would have continued to breed all through the season, and most probably the hotel owners would lay poison to kill the cats and their kittens. The Hotel owners have been informed, and they now know the numbers will stay as they are. I still have another 7 females to catch by the end of the month at the hotel, and will travel out again soon."
