Ceva Awards for Animal Welfare 2014

Ceva Awards for Animal Welfare 2014: Silvana is a finalist in the International Cat Care Welfare Award category!

Ceva Animal Health, which makes Feliway for cats and Adaptil for dogs, has just published details of the finalists of its Awards for Animal Welfare.  There are 7 categories, to include all who work within the animal welfare sector.
We are delighted to announce that Silvana is a finalist for the International Cat Care Welfare Award - a new category this year!!   This is open to anyone working internationally in feline welfare – perhaps in rescue, education or TNR [Trap-Neuter-Return] – who in so doing has contributed towards making sustainable local changes, and to improving feline welfare.  To reach the finalist stage is in itself an achievement, and recognition of the vital importance of Silvana's work in Italy.  In her category, Silvana is competing against Agnes Dufau of Platforma Gatera which works with the street cats of Barcelona, and Kate Shervell, Worldwide Veterinary Service.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a wider audience aware of the on-going work Silvana carries out with her ‘SOS Sardinia’ project!  This aim to neuter/spay and then return feral cats to their colony in or close to the town of Alghero, reducing the size of the stay population and improving the overall health of the colonies in that part of Italy.  Please click on ‘The Italian Job’ tab for more details!
The winners of each category will be announced on 2nd April at the BSAVA [British Small Animal Veterinary Association] Congress in Birmingham.  Watch this space!
